Q1. What Made You Decide To Establish Your Own Brand? What Is Meaning Of Brand Name?
ブランド設立のきっかけは何ですか？また、ブランド名の意味を教えてください。
Digne means "dignified" in French. I launched the brand "Digne K" in 2021 with the idea of creating accessories that would make the wearer feel confident as a cool, mature woman. We are particular about the color, pattern, and texture of genuine leather, and aim to create accessories that allow you to enjoy the chemical reaction of the combination.
Digneはフランス語で”凛とした”という意味があります。身に着けると、少し背筋を伸ばし、胸を張り、自信が持てるような、かっこいい大人の女性をイメージしたアクセサリーを創りたいと思い、2021年にブランド『Digne K』を立ち上げました。本革のお色や模様、質感にこだわり、掛け合わせの化学反応が楽しめるアクセサリーを目指します。

商品はどのような工程を経て出来上がるのでしょうか？
Genuine leather comes in a variety of colors, patterns, textures, thicknesses, and luster. Taking advantage of these characteristics, leather is cut into decorative pieces, twisted and braided, and sewn by hand together with many beads, parts, and other different materials to create a three-dimensional effect and expression, expressing a one-of-a-kind view of the world.
本革にはいろいろなお色や柄、模様、素材の質感、厚さ、光沢があります。それらの特性を生かし、作品のモチーフをイメージして、革を飾り切り、ねじり編み、たくさんのビーズやパーツなどの異素材と一緒に、1つ1つ手縫いしていくことで、立体感や表情を出し、唯一無二の世界観を表現していきます。

ニューヨーク市場に興味を持った理由は何ですか？
Each Digne K piece has its own name and story, and is created in accordance with its theme. I wanted to create pieces that would gently push the wearer's back, give them the courage to take the first step forward, and become a talisman, so that people overseas could hold these thoughts and wishes in their hands.
Digne Kには1つ1つの作品に作品名や物語があり、テーマに沿った作品創りをしています。身に着けてくださる方の背中をそっと優しく押せるような、一歩足を踏み出していくための勇気やきっかけになり、お守りとなるような、そんな想いや願いを込めた作品を、海外の方にも手に取って見て頂きたいと思いました。
Q4.Which One Is Your Favorite Piece? And Why?
イチオシはどの商品ですか？又その理由は？
“Aurora - Curtain of Light Leading to Hope”
Twisting and weaving genuine leather, layering different colors and patterns of the same color, and bead stitching with large and small beads expresses the shining curtain of light, "Aurora Borealis". The image of a midnight sun, a sunset, and a jet-black night sky is expressed in three colors: white, brown, and black. The work expresses the wish that, in spite of difficulties, people will climb the stairs step by step with hope.
『オーロラ～希望へ続く光のカーテン』本革をねじり編み、同系色の違うお色や模様のレザーを重ね合わせ、大小のビーズで編み上げたビーズステッチで、輝く光のカーテン”オーロラ”を表現。白夜、夕焼け、漆黒の夜空をイメージし、ホワイト、ブラウン、ブラックの3色を展開しています。困難があっても、希望を持って一歩一歩階段を登って行って欲しいという願いを作品に込めました。
