Q1. What Made You Decide To Establish Your Own Brand? What Is Meaning Of Brand Name?
ブランド設立のきっかけは何ですか？また、ブランド名の意味を教えてください。
I have been painting and working as an artist since I was in art college. I started my career as an accessory artist when a store that exhibited and sold my paintings invited me to make brooches to match the clothes they sold at the store. I cut out parts from my drawings and made them into accessories, so I named my brand "mikimichimasa" from my own name.
美術大学に通っていた頃から絵を描き作家活動をしていました。絵を展示販売していただいていたお店から、お店で販売する服に合わせ、ブローチを作ってください、と誘っていただいたのが、アクセサリー作家へのスタートです。自身が描いた絵からパーツを切り取り、アクセサリーに仕上げているので、ブランド名は自分の名前からとり、 mikimichimasaとつけました。
Q2. Please Describe Your Production Process.
商品はどのような工程を経て出来上がるのでしょうか？
Draw a picture on a postcard-size drawing paper. Cut out a piece of paper the size of an accessory from the drawing, and paste it on a wooden (cypress) accessory base. Attach them to a wooden (cypress) base, then apply a resin coating, and finished with metal fittings.
はがきサイズの画紙に絵を描き、描いた絵からアクセサリーにするサイズを切抜き、木（桧）で作ったアクセサリー土台に貼り付け、樹脂コーティングをし、アクセサリー金具をつけて仕上げています。

ニューヨーク市場に興味を持った理由は何ですか？
I am joining the event because I would like more people to see mikimichimasa's work and to experience various aspects of it.
より多くの人に mikimichimasa の作品を見ていただきたい、様々な経験をしたい。という思いから応募させていただきました。
Q4. Which One Is Your Favorite Piece? And Why?

"Trees series"
They are created after a single drawing is completed. I hope that you will enjoy finding out which part of the picture became the accessory that you like. I would be happy if you can feel the world, time, etc. from the pieces of the picture enclosed in the resin.

一枚の絵を完成させてから、作り出す「樹木」シリーズがイチオシです。 お客様が気にいったアクセサリーはどこの部分なのかを探していただき楽しんでほしいです。 樹脂の中に閉じ込めた絵のかけらの世界や時等、感じてもらえたらうれしいです。
