Q1. What Made You Decide To Establish Your Own Brand? What Is Meaning Of Brand Name?
ブランド設立のきっかけは何ですか？また、ブランド名の意味を教えてください。
The word "koloro" has a meaning of "color" in Esperanto. Also, considering that my name, "Ayaka," can be written as 彩加, with the addition of color, I came up with the brand name "Koloro Glass." I wanted to convey the idea of adding color to everyday life through the delivery of glass.
koloroという言葉は、エスペラント語で【彩り】という意味があります。
私の名前は、彩りを加えると書いて彩加であるということもあり、日常に彩りを添えるガラスをお届けしたいという思いを込めてコロロ硝子というブランド名を考えました。
Q2. Please Describe Your Production Process.
商品はどのような工程を経て出来上がるのでしょうか？
Drawing inspiration from an ancient Mesopotamian technique called "part de verre," I've developed an original method. Within a plaster mold, I repeatedly melt glass, creating layered landscapes with depth. Due to the nature of this technique, each piece becomes a unique work of art, embracing the beauty of chance. Additionally, I explore the use of a technique derived from the frost glass windows of the Taisho era, known as "結霜ガラス" (kesso garasu).
パートドヴェールという古代メソポタミア時代に生み出された技法からアイディアを得たオリジナル技法で、石膏型の中で何度も何度もガラスを溶かし奥行きのある風景を作りあげます。技法の特性上、作品は偶然性を生かした唯一無二の作品になります。これ以外にも、結霜ガラスという大正時代に流行した窓ガラスの技法を応用した作品に挑戦しています。

ニューヨーク市場に興味を持った理由は何ですか？
I decided to participate because I wanted to challenge myself and see how my artwork would be received internationally. This time, I'll be sending various pieces from different series, and I'm curious to know which ones resonate well with an overseas audience. Additionally, I'd like to gather feedback on whether the size of the artworks is suitable. When it comes to placing them as interior decor in overseas homes, I'm interested in receiving candid responses about whether larger sizes would be more favorable.
自分の作品が、海外でどのような反応をいただけるのかチャレンジしてみたいと思い参加しました。今回は様々なシリーズの作品を送りますので、どの作品が海外で人気なのか知りたいです。また、作品の大きさがこのサイズで良いのか知りたいです。海外の家にインテリアとして置く場合、さらに大きいサイズの方が良いのか率直な反応を知りたいです。

小さなガラスの中に無限の宇宙を閉じ込めた美しい作品ですが、下からライトアップしたりブラックライトを当てるとまた違った世界が広がり様々な楽しみ方ができる特別な作品です。
