Q1. What Made You Decide To Establish Your Own Brand? What Is Meaning Of Brand Name?
ブランド設立のきっかけは何ですか？また、ブランド名の意味を教えてください。
After working as an interior designer, I began to study metal carving to create jewelry that I wanted to wear. Based on my own aesthetic sense, curiosity about art and culture, and reverence for natural forms, my designs are carefully crafted into jewelry that is both contemporary and naturally rustic.
The name "rito jewelry" is taken from the letters between the letters of my name Eri tokoro, and represents who I am as a jewelry designer.
インテリアデザイナーとして働いた後、身に付けたいジュエリーを作るため彫金を学び始める。自身の美意識に基づき、アートやカルチャーに対する好奇心、自然の造形への畏敬から産まれるデザインはコンテンポラリーさとナチュラルな素朴さを併せ持つジュエリーとなって、一つ一つ丁寧に仕上げられます。
また、rito jewelry は自分の名前の Eri tokoro の間のスペルの文字を取り、自身を表現するジュエリーとしてつけました。
Q2. Please Describe Your Production Process.
商品はどのような工程を経て出来上がるのでしょうか？
I collect fallen leaves, branches, nuts, etc. and make sketches of what inspires me, and then think about how to express them beautifully as jewelry. Next, I examine which method is the most suitable, and after casting from a silver plate or carving with wax, I carefully handcraft and polish all of the pieces by myself.
落ち葉や枝、木の実等を採取しインスピーションが湧いたものからスケッチを起こし、ジュエリーとしてどう表現するのが美しいか考えます。次にどの作り方が最適か吟味し、銀の板からか、ワックスで彫刻して鋳造した後、全てを自分で造形し磨きまでを丁寧に手事で仕上げて行います。

New York is a city of art and culture from all over the world, and always on the cutting edge of fashion and design. It is also a city that I have always admired.
ニューヨークは世界中のアートやカルチャーが集まり、いつも最先端のファッションやデザインの集まる都市、私にとって憧れの街だからです。
Q4.Which One Is Your Favorite Piece? And Why?
イチオシはどの商品ですか？又その理由は？
“DILIA series” - The shape is delicate, intricate, and beautiful, and is cast directly from the actual fruit husk of azalea seeds after they have been popped. The Iacafes and necklaces have a strong presence all on their own.
The UTSUGI series is also made by casting from the branches of the Japanese azalea, and is a delicate and gorgeous jewelry studded with freshwater pearls. The series is the result of repeated trial and error and prototyping.
DILIA のシリーズです。これは形状が繊細で複雑で美しい、実際のミツバツツジの種が弾けた 後の果実殻から直接に鋳造して製作しました。一つで存在感のあるイアカフとネックレス。
UTSUGIシリーズもウツギの枝から現物鋳造して作られ、淡水パールをちりばめた繊細で華やか なジュエリーです。何度も試行錯誤と試作を繰り返し造形し出来上がった逸品です。
