Q1. What Made You Decide To Establish Your Own Brand? What Is Meaning Of Brand Name?
ブランド設立のきっかけは何ですか？また、ブランド名の意味を教えてください。
I've had a passion for creating things since I was a child, and during my school days, I was part of the ikebana (flower arranging) club. This led me to obtain a florist certification and work on floral arrangements, including decoration in hotel weddings. Later on, while working at a materials shop, I first encountered resin, which became the catalyst for making jewelry. In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I started my brand as a means of self-expression. I named it "a.y" based on my initials.
小さい頃から物作りが好きで、学生時代は華道部に在籍していました。そこからお花が作り出す空間美に惹かれフラワーデザイナーの資格を取得しホテルブライダルで空間装飾を含めた装花の仕事をしていました。その後資材屋さんにも勤めて初めてレジンと出会いアクセサリーを作るきっかけになりました。
2020年のコロナ禍を機に自分を表現する場としてスタートし、ブランド名は私の名前のイニシャルから【 a.y 】と名付けました。
Q2. Please Describe Your Production Process.
商品はどのような工程を経て出来上がるのでしょうか？
Even with the same flowers, factors like the season (temperature) when they were sourced can affect their size and color intensity. So, I create my pieces while using coloring agents I mix to match the color tones of the dried flowers, all while verifying the hues of the sourced dried flowers. I use natural materials, and each piece is a unique, one-of-a-kind creation inspired by the prevailing emotions at that moment. I meticulously polish each created piece and apply a coating to finish it.
同じお花でも仕入れる時期(気温)によってサイズや色の濃淡が変化するので、仕入れたドライフラワーの色合いを確認しつつお花の色味に合わせて調合した着色剤を使い制作していきます。ナチュラル素材を使用し、その時々の感覚で作っていく唯一無二のグラデーションなので全て1点物です。制作したパーツは1つ1つ丁寧に磨き、コーティングをして仕上げていきます。

I decided to participate because I received an invitation, and I felt it would be an opportunity to encounter new discoveries and learning experiences!

All of them! I create floral accessories where the colors and petals are seamlessly integrated, and I have obtained a trademark registration in Japan as "Tint Flower Accessories®︎." These works are known for the depth created by the combination of petals and colors. They possess the unique quality of changing their atmosphere when exposed to different lighting conditions indoors and outdoors.
全部です…！私の制作しているフラワーアクセサリーは、色彩と花びらが一体化した造りになっていて【 ティントフラワーアクセサリー®︎】として日本で商標登録を取得しています。花びらと混ぜ合わせた色彩の奥行き感が特徴的な作品なので、光の当たり方で印影が映し出され屋内と屋外で作品の雰囲気が変化するのが魅力です。
