Q1. What Made You Decide To Establish Your Own Brand? What Is Meaning Of Brand Name?
ブランド設立のきっかけは何ですか？また、ブランド名の意味を教えてください。
I've always had a deep love for candles, collecting and displaying them, occasionally lighting them to find comfort. I started creating candles with a playful touch, hoping to bring inspiration and solace to others through my work. The name "Acandle" derives from my name, Akane.
キャンドルが大好きで集めては飾り、時には灯して癒されておりました。自分でもキャンドルで誰かに感動や癒しをお届けできたらと思い、遊び心が詰まったキャンドルを作ろうと制作を始めました。
Acandle の意味は名前のAkane のキャンドルという意味です。
Q2. Please Describe Your Production Process.
商品はどのような工程を経て出来上がるのでしょうか？
I shape all the candles by hand, without using molds or templates. Even the facial features are individually crafted by hand and attached. I employ a technique known as "hand-kneading" to create the candles, much like working with clay.
形は全て型などを使わず手で捏ねて形成、顔のパーツなども全て手でパーツを作り貼り付けております。「手ごね」という技法で粘土のように制作しております。

ニューヨーク市場に興味を持った理由は何ですか？
I wanted people from countries like the United States, where candles are a part of everyday life, to see Acandle's artistic candles.
キャンドルの文化があまりない日本よりも、アメリカなど日常にキャンドルがある国の方にAcandleのアートなキャンドルを見ていただきたいと思いました。
Q4.Which One Is Your Favorite Piece? And Why?
イチオシはどの商品ですか？又その理由は？
The candles with the blue tags are the glow-in-the-dark candles. They light up when you turn off the lights, making them perfect for a bedroom or any place where they can provide some ambient light after dark.
ブルーのタグがついているものは、電気を消すと光る、蓄光キャンドルになります。寝室などに置くと、電気を消した際に光ってくれますので、飾って楽しんでいただけます。
