Q1. What Made You Decide To Establish Your Own Brand? What Is Meaning Of Brand Name?
ブランド設立のきっかけは何ですか？また、ブランド名の意味を教えてください。
I was involved in the decorative industry, and while working on various corporate images and concepts, I was drawn to plant motifs, which led me to try to create the image I had in my mind.
The brand name "kitohato" means "with trees and leaves."
装飾関連の仕事に携わっていたのですが、様々な企業イメージやコンセプトに合わせて製作をしている中で植物をモチーフとしたものへ惹かれて行き、私自身の思い描くイメージを形にしてみようと製作したことが始まりです。
「kitohato」ブランド名は、「木と葉と」 という意味をもちます。
Q2. Please Describe Your Production Process.
商品はどのような工程を経て出来上がるのでしょうか？
Each piece is individually shaped with wirework, made with resin, grain glass, and cypress wood, and painted with acrylic paints to create the finished product.
ワイヤーワークでひとつひとつ形作り、樹脂、粒ガラス、檜の木材を使用して作り、アクリル塗料で絵付けをして出来上がります。
Q3. What Made You Interested In NY Market?
ニューヨーク市場に興味を持った理由は何ですか？
I mainly create brooches. In Japan, there are many people who like brooches, and also outside of Japan, in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and other Asian countries, I have had opportunities to sell my products and have received favorable feedback. In New York, there is not much of an image of people wearing brooches, so I was wondering how people would react to them. I appreciate the opportunity to have people hold them in their hands in person.
私は、ブローチをメインに製作しています。 日本ではブローチが好きな方が多く、日本以外では、台湾、香港、アジア圏で気にいってもらえて、販売をする機会がありました。 ニューヨークでは、ブローチを装着している人のイメージがあまりありませんので、どのように感じてもらえるのか？ 直接手にとって見てもらう機会をありがとうございます。
