Q1. What Made You Decide To Establish Your Own Brand? What Is Meaning Of Brand Name?
ブランド設立のきっかけは何ですか？また、ブランド名の意味を教えてください。
The inception of my journey into jewelry crafting was sparked by my own metal allergy. Struggling to find allergy-friendly accessories that resonated with my taste, I began crafting my own pieces. The decision to launch the brand stemmed from a desire to start something entirely from scratch and a longing to connect with various people through my love for jewelry making. I would be delighted to deliver pieces that evoke a sense of excitement for those who wear them, even if just a little.
As for the brand name, "Moon" is inspired by the mystical allure of the natural stone "Blue Moon" that I deeply admire. "Deewhy" takes its roots from a location in Australia where I once lived. I had a strong affinity for Deewhy Beach, often taking leisurely walks along its shores whenever I had the chance. Recalling the beauty of the moon reflecting on the ocean during the nights spent seated along the coastline, the name "Deewhy Moon" resonated with the envisioned pieces I wanted to create.
作品作りを始めたのは、自身の金属アレルギーがきっかけでした。アレルギー対応の気に入ったアクセサリーがなかなか見つけられなくて、自分で作るようになりました。
そしてブランド立ち上げに至ったきっかけは、私に出来ることを１から始めたかったこと、好きなジュエリー制作で色々な人と繋がりたい、と思ったことです。
着ける人が少しでもわくわくした気持ちになって頂けるような作品をお届けできたら嬉しいです。
ブランド名について。Moonは、神秘的な雰囲気が大好きな天然石のBlue Moonからとっています。
Deewhyは以前住んでいたオーストラリアの地名になります。DeewhyのBeachがとても好きで、
暇さえあれば散歩していました。夜の海に映った月がきれいで海沿いに座ってずっと眺めていたことを思い出し、
作りたい作品のイメージにも合っていたためDeewhy Moonにしました☆
Q2. Please Describe Your Production Process.
商品はどのような工程を経て出来上がるのでしょうか？
Our main products involve a meticulous crafting process where natural stones, freshwater pearls, and beads are designed using wire. Connecting numerous small natural stone beads with artistic wire or design pins to shape the intricate designs is a meticulous and patience-demanding process. Additionally, we use adhesives or resin to fix and create designs. Nylon-coated wire is employed to fashion pearls and natural stones into necklace or bracelet forms.
The detailed work involves repeated attempts and failures to achieve the envisioned design. Even in necklace production, we pay careful attention to color combinations, pearl size combinations, and other details to bring the design to life.
Furthermore, we aim to create jewelry that accommodates metal allergies. Therefore, we are meticulous in selecting materials such as chains and adjusters. We explore designs that don't involve metal, and when we do use metal, we source materials like 14KGF, surgical stainless steel, and silver 925 to ensure compatibility with sensitive skin.
メインの商品は、天然石や天然淡水パール、ビーズをワイヤーでデザインする制作工程になります。たくさんの小さな天然石ビーズをアーティスティックワイヤーやデザインピンで繋げて形を作っていく細かい作業はコツコツと根気のいる工程です。
そのほか、接着剤やレジンを使って固定してデザインを作ったり、ナイロンコートワイヤーでパールや天然石をネックレスやブレスレットの形にしてゆきます。
思い描いたデザインに仕上げるために何度も失敗を繰り返したりします。
ネックレス制作の場合も色合いの組み合わせ、パールの大きさの組み合わせなど細部にも拘ってお作りしております。
また、金属アレルギーに対応したジュエリー制作を目指しておりますので、チェーンやアジャスターなどの素材にも拘って仕入れています。金属を使わないデザインを考えたり、金属を使う場合は14KGFやサージカルステンレス、シルバー925の素材を探して
仕入れをしております。
Q3. What Made You Interested In NY Market?
ニューヨーク市場に興味を持った理由は何ですか？
New York is perceived as the world's largest market, a city where dreams and excitement converge. Having experienced studying abroad myself, I always harbored the desire to connect with people from various countries. The dream of eventually setting up a POP-UP SHOP overseas, particularly in New York, has been a long-held aspiration. Therefore, the opportunity to open a store now is truly an honor and a source of immense joy.
In the process of crafting my pieces, I often draw inspiration and elevate my mood by listening to music or watching dramas and movies. Interestingly, I have a fond memory of creating designs while immersing myself in the ambiance of New York City, with the beloved series 'Sex and the City' playing in the background. This experience might have contributed to the inspiration behind this endeavor :)
ニューヨークは世界で1番の大きな市場であり、夢やわくわくが集まっている街というイメージがあります。
私自身海外留学の経験があり、色々な国の方々と交流を持ちたいとの想いは常に持っており、海外、それもニューヨークにPOP UP SHOPを出すことは最終的に叶えたいような夢でもありました。ですので今回の出店は本当に光栄で嬉しいことです。
作品制作の際、音楽を聴いたりドラマや映画を流したりしてイメージを膨らませたりテンションを上げたり
しておりますが、大好きな『Sex and the City』のドラマを流しながら、NYの街をイメージして制作していたことが
今回に繋がったのではないかとすら思っています(^^)

Our top recommendation is a short necklace featuring three natural stones: Black Moonstone, Labradorite, and Rainbow Moonstone, complemented by a pointed charm of Grey Moonstone. The color gradient is exquisite, and the subtle changes in the sparkle of the natural stones, depending on the angle of light, add to its enchanting allure. Despite initially exuding a cool impression, the muted black color of the Black Moonstone allows for a stylish yet cute look without being too bold. Moreover, as the majority of the necklace comes in contact with the skin through natural stones, it's a comfortable choice for those sensitive to metals.
We also offer a matching bracelet, and (bracelets and earrings to match are also in the works).
