Q1. What Made You Decide To Establish Your Own Brand? What Is Meaning Of Brand Name?
ブランド設立のきっかけは何ですか？また、ブランド名の意味を教えてください。
Since childhood, I have harbored a profound love for crafting. The joy of collecting beads in various hues, the charm of fashioning them into adorable accessories, and the delight derived from receiving heartfelt "thank yous" when gifting my creations to family and friends all contributed to making accessory crafting one of my cherished childhood hobbies. The inception of "BACCHUS." in 2006 was prompted by my desire to explore selling handmade accessories. In 2016, I officially launched it as a full-fledged business. The name Bacchus was chosen, drawing inspiration from the Roman god of wine. Reflecting on my past experience as a bartender and the vibrant amalgamation of materials in creating accessories, I found the resemblance to crafting cocktails striking. Hence, I continue my creative journey under the name Bacchus.
子供の頃から物を作るのが大好きでした。様々な色のビーズを集める楽しさ、それを使って作るアクセサリーの可愛さ、作ったものを家族や友人へプレゼントした時に貰える「ありがとう」が嬉しくて、アクセサリー作りは子供の頃からの大好きな趣味のひとつになりました。手づくりのアクセサリーを販売してみたいと思った事をきっかけに2006年に「BACCHUS.」が誕生。2016年に本業として販売を開始しています。バッカスはローマ神話のお酒の神様です。私がバーテンダーをしていた事、カラフルな素材を混ぜ合わせて完成するアクセサリーはまるでカクテルのようだと思い、バッカスという名で活動を続けています。

商品はどのような工程を経て出来上がるのでしょうか？
Leveraging the chosen materials and colors, careful consideration is given to how they can be harmoniously combined. Once a vague image takes shape, the design is brought to life. In cases where intricate processes are essential, a relentless pursuit of sturdiness and impeccable finishing leads to multiple iterations of prototypes. Every detail is meticulously refined with a commitment to perfection.
使用する素材や色を活かし、どのように組み合わせるかを考えます。なんとなくイメージが出来たら実際に作ってみて、複雑な工程が必要なデザインの場合は、さらに頑丈に綺麗に仕上げる方法は無いか何度も試作を繰り返します。細部までこだわりをもって仕上げています。

ニューヨーク市場に興味を持った理由は何ですか？
I have always harbored a vague aspiration to have my creations admired internationally. During my time primarily focused on online sales, I received inquiries from overseas individuals asking, "How can I purchase these pieces?" Several times, transactions were facilitated through proxy purchasing services. This experience, coupled with the recent opportunity of being scouted, has ignited a sense of joy in delivering accessories to the heart of the world. It is indeed a prestigious opportunity, prompting me to embrace the challenge with enthusiasm.
いつか海外で作品を見てもらいたいという漠然な憧れがありました。また、オンライン販売を中心に活動していた頃に海外の方から「どうすればこの作品が買えますか？」とお問い合わせを頂き、実際に代理購入業者の仲介で商品をお求め頂く事が何度かありました。今回スカウトして頂き、世界の中心にアクセサリーをお届けできる喜びを感じ、とても光栄な機会でしたので挑戦してみる事に致しました。

Our flagship product features a fringe design crafted with vibrant threads. The majority of inquiries originate from overseas, and this particular design served as a catalyst for opportunities such as publishing in books and collaborating with "FUJIX," a renowned yarn manufacturer in Japan. Over the years, we've cultivated connections with numerous customers who continue to appreciate and use our creations. Despite its delicate craftsmanship, the design boasts durability and remarkable lightness, earning acclaim for its comfortable wear. The addictive allure of wanting to collect various colors has led many customers to add multiple hues to their collections.
看板商品はカラフルな糸を使用したフリンジデザインです。海外からのお問い合わせが一番多く、このデザインをきっかけに書籍の出版や、日本を代表する糸メーカーである「FUJIX」とのお仕事をさせて頂きました。たくさんのお客様ともご縁を頂き、長年ご愛用頂いております。繊細な作りですが、丈夫さもあり、とても軽いので着け心地も良いと評判です。様々な色を集めたくなる中毒性があるようで、複数のカラーを追加でお求め下さるお客様も多いです。
