Q1. What Made You Decide To Establish Your Own Brand? What Is Meaning Of Brand Name?
ブランド設立のきっかけは何ですか？また、ブランド名の意味を教えてください。
I have loved drawing and making things since I was a child, and my dream when I was in junior high school was "to be a person who makes things with my own hands, based on my own ideas. After studying art and design, I became a housewife. When my children grew up, I decided that I wanted to realize my unchanging desire to "create" since childhood. I started by drawing art, designing bags and clothes, and then selling them.
The theme of my brand is "art for everyday life, art you can wear and carry around with you." At the same time, for the people who purchase my products, I also want them to feel as if they are their own personal art.
幼少期から絵を描くことや作ることが好きで、中学生の頃に掲げた夢は「自分の頭で考えたモノを自分の手で作るひと」でした。美術を学び、デザインを学び、その後家庭に入りました。子供達がすこし大きくなったタイミングで、変わらない想いをかたちにしたいと思ったのがきっかけです。始まりは描いた絵をデザイン化しバッグや衣服などの制作・販売でした。
アートを日常に、身に付ける持ち歩けるアートがテーマなので。そして購入していただいた方々の私だけのアートという想いも込めて。
Q2. Please Describe Your Production Process.
商品はどのような工程を経て出来上がるのでしょうか？
I carefully consider and select many parts, and then reassemble them after repeatedly looking at the texture, color combination, and balance. If an idea cannot be decided immediately, I leave it for a few days, and only those that I feel are "the one" when I look at them again are commercialized.
たくさんのパーツを吟味し選び、素材感、色の組み合わせ、バランスを何度も見ては組み換え完成させていきます。すぐに決まらない時は何日か置き、改めて見たときに「やはりこれだ」となったもののみ商品化します。
Q3. What Made You Interested In NY Market?
ニューヨーク市場に興味を持った理由は何ですか？
I loved Andy Warhol irresistibly in my teens and twenties, and saw many books and movies about him. I never thought that my work would be able to go to SOHO in New York, a place I wanted to visit at least once in my life. I was curious to see what kind of feedback I would receive about my work from such a place of my dreams.
10代、20代とアンディー・ウォーホルが無性に好きで、彼に関する本や映画をたくさん見ました。人生で一度は行ってみたかったニューヨークのSOHOに、まさか自分の作品が行けることになるとは、、、。そんな憧れの場所からどのような感想がいただけるのか興味がありました。
